Probably needed a hug. Started a Substack instead.
Here we grow again! Why now, what to expect, and why we're building together.
OH, hi! Welcome to Community Made! 🤗
I know what you’re thinking. You’re probably like, here she goes again! LOL And TBH, same.
What can I say? I am a visionary and a #communitybuilder at heart and starting new with the hope of bringing people together is my love language. IYKYK.
I am not new to Substack, I actually built The Momsletter (a newsletter for moms) from 0 to over 5k subs, and now I am ready to start again but with biz #2. So if you’re here reading this, thank you for supporting my visionary heart and for sticking around.
I’ve actually been thinking a lot about how I wanted to kick this off. And truthfully, I didn’t want to just jump in, I wanted to share my why. So here it goes…
This space is for the ones who are building (or thinking about it) a brand, a business, a movement. Those who are ready to stop building in isolation and who are ready to build in community.
Is this you?
A little about me 👋
I’m Ingrid — founder of Grow With Community (and Working Momkind/ The Momsletter), co-host of the Startups in Stilettos podcast (shoutout to my fave community The Entreprenista League), mom of two boys, and someone who deeply believes in the power of community. Not just as a buzzword, but as a strategy, a feeling, and a way of life.
Here's where I've been:
I launched Working Momkind after my first son was born and grew it to over 220K followers on Instagram alone.
I created a private community on Mighty Networks that brought together nearly 2,000 moms from all over the world during the pandemic
I started The Momsletter on Substack, which now has over 5,000 subscribers (more to come on that soon!)
I founded GWC, a consulting agency where I help founders, brands, and creators build and grow intentional communities
It’s been a journey. And now, I’m building something new again, but this time I’m bringing you along for the ride.
Why now?
For the past two years, I’ve been deep in the work. Helping clients launch communities, refine their strategies, and reconnect with the people they serve.
But I kept noticing a pattern » many people don’t know where to start. Others have started but feel stuck. And too many are building in silos without support, feedback, or connection.
That’s why Community Made is here. So you don’t have to figure this out alone anymore.
Why Community Made?
Because community isn’t just a part of your business, it is the business.
It’s what keeps people coming back.
It’s what turns customers into advocates.
It’s what makes your work matter AND what actually helps you grow.
And I’m not talking about building just to build. Community should be created intentionally, when you’re ready to commit, to show up for your people, and to lead something bigger than just your brand.
I created this space to talk about the real side of community building. The wins, the struggles, the pivots, and the power of showing up for your people.
And I want you in the room for all of it.
